Insurance Related Matters
An insured who has suffered damages as a result of another person's negligence is entitled to recover such damages from the offending party.
The insured is indemnified by his insurance company which then seeks to recover the damages from the third party. The recovery process entails lengthy and expensive litigation the costs of which often exceed the amount claimed. The Mediation Co seeks to reduce these costs through facilitative and evaluative mediation which is a cost effective and expeditious process.
Motor Vehicle Accident Claims
It is very often not financially viable to institute legal proceedings as the quantum may not justify the legal costs. Mediation provides a cost effective solution in that the process can be completed within weeks of the accident thereby avoiding lengthy court processes. The mediator collects all available evidence and in various sessions with both drivers test their respective versions against the evidence.
During this process the mediator has the benefit of hearing both versions at an early stage which is not the case during litigation when an insured's version is essentially only
tested under cross-examination.

Mediator's Experience
Dudley Honey has over 30 years experience in Insurance and Family and has over the years successfully litigated and negotiated settlement agreements on behalf of various insurance companies and family law clients.
In accordance with the recent Directive issued by Judge President of the High Court sitting at Johannesburg and occasioned by the continued frustrations with the prevailing court systems the Mediation Co offers an alternative dispute resolution process through mediation as an effective and efficient solution to resolve disputes.
